Halloween 2011

So for the past few years, we've decided to steer away from all the "hype" of Halloween.
We usually end up just hiding some special candy around the house and letting the kids go around trying to find it.  But this year in a weak moment with 2 hours to spare....we found what would work for some costumes and went to Moscow.  The University of Idaho Athletic Department put on a trick or treat at the Kibbie Dome.  So, Dad got home and off we went!
The date is wrong on the stamp...it really was from this year ;)

Cake walking

Fishing with the Track Team

Tossing the Football with none other than the Football Team

They even got tickets from the Men's Basketball Team for the next Home game!
Pretty neat!  Tom ended up going to the game and taking Kolby and Kassidy....they got to sit...well actually Joe Vandal came and sat next to them for awhile ;)

Love this picture of Derrick...if you only could have seen the mood he was in just 15min before--night and day here ;)
again love this shot...he just looks so happy trotting along --but you know we were done here...and that meant we were heading home and stopping by a certain house in Troy that he SO wanted to go to;)

Our 1 stop in Troy on the way home was to the Music teacher's house.
This made Derrick's night!  He'd been talking of going there for days!

Will we do it again next year...I'm not sure....I guess we'll see.

Missing my camera....

So here are somethings that weren't captured because my camera is not at home right now....

Clara (in her chicken stocking hat) and her little friend...also 2 1/2 helping me to herd 20+ chickens back into the pen ;) So crazy, funny....if someone was videoing us...they could very well have won some money !! And hey...out of our 30 chickens we only missed 6...that's pretty good!

A Precious Sibling moment....Kolby sitting with the other kiddos around him, as he reads the books they have piled for him.....so cute!!! (the best part is I didn't even have to beg him to do this...I found them like that tonight before bed!)

O.K. so I'm trying not to complain...because I could drive the 40 minutes to go get it....but I just haven't found the time lately....sad, or lazy...either way...no more complaining!! --just enjoying all the moments I do get to see with my kids and I'll try and remember to at least write about them ;)

Camera is a "no show"

I've been wanting to post new pictures...but my camera got left at a friend's baby shower....oh.....about a MONTH ago....and Tom has taken back his camera for work....taking pictures of work I guess....fields, grain bins, trucks, tractors, farmers...who knows....ANYway....hopefully by NOVEMBER I will get my camera back!!  Until then.....I guess we'll all have to wait :(

Cheer Camp

The kids didn't have school Thursday or Friday and like last year in October....they had another "Cheer Camp."  So Kassidy was excited to go to it.  They even got cute shirts this year ;)  They then got to cheer during halftime of the home Football Game on Friday night. (which we were winning 30-0 at halftime)

Waiting for halftime to come ;)

It was starting to rain and I was zoomed in...so the following pictures are not the best...but look hard --she's in the middle with the pom poms we had to dig out of our dress up box ;)

Go-Trojans-Go

2 bits- 4 bits- 6 bits a dollar
All for Troy stand up and holler!!!
Yeah Troy ;)
She's excited cause they will try to have another Cheer Camp during basketball season too!

Latah County Fair 9/17/11

The kids entered their lego creations again in the fair this year.  They had the legos in a different area this year....and behind a rope to cut back on "lego theft" the lady told us :(   So we couldn't get close to their creation..and I totally forgot to take a before picture....so anyway...as you can tell by the picture they are real excited :)   Actually they were- they all got a blue or red ribbon....I just got a bad picture ;)
So it turns out my Teacher Assistant's daughter had a goat in the fair....so we got some "special goat time" She was so nice to let all the children in the pen with her goat- "Tinkerbell"

Clara kept wanting to grab it's tail.....

Kolby checking out another goat a few pens down ;)
We were at the fair by 9:30am so Tom could be ready for the SALE.  So the kids and I walked around and around the fair, while Tom was at the sale for the Farm Bureau ....after 2 1/2 hours of wandering around seeing all the animals and riding a few rides....the kids and I went back home and waited for him to call and say he was done.  At 3pm he called so we headed back into town and walked around a bit more and rode a couple rides.  Made for a long fair day...but it was fun ;)

Our "cowgirl" Kassidy....she is the most creative dresser :)  If you look close...see her red boots!

Derrick in the flying machine

Kolby on the huge slide. He really wanted to go on this certain "big kid" ride..but it didn't work out this year...maybe next year ;)

Kids in the fish pond "Everyone's a Winner" game

Kassidy and Derrick wanted to ride on the Ferris Wheel....so they had to wait all day until dad was done with the Sale....cause 4 kids and I could not fit in one seat...and even though Kolby assured me he could watch Clara and wait while I went with them.....I said Nope not happening.  Tom said he'd never ridden one....wow...and boy he sure looks excited doesn't he ;)
