Troy School Garden

The Troy Elementary K, 1, & 3rd grade teachers wrote and received a grant
from the state to have a school garden.  They are calling it their "Pizza Garden"
They had the ground breaking ceremony on Friday at their garden plot in town ;)
It was a nice day for it...they walked down from the school, each class had a presentation,
and they all sang a song.  The local newspaper and t.v. station(Lewiston) came...it was a fun afternoon.

Since school is out Friday (5/27) families will be volunteering throughout the summer to "help the garden grow" so that next fall the school kids can make some pizza dough and enjoy some pizza-YUM!
Walking - walking...It was warm and sunny..I think we all got a little sunburned...but I'm not complaining! It's nice to finally have the sunshine around!!

Each class had a representative to each plant a first plant in the garden...
Kolby got the honors for 3rd grade:)

Every year these classes grow flowers to sell as a fundraiser...and they did the same this year...they just also planted items for their garden.

P.S.  It was "Camo Day" at school if you were wondering why everyone was in camo clothes :)
